1. MAD
[Expression of the c-myc gene, which produces an oncogenic transcription factor, is tightly regulated in normal cells but is frequently deregulated in human cancers. MAX Interacting Protein 1, encoded by the MXI1 gene, is a transcriptional repressor thought to negatively regulate MYC function, and is therefore a potential tumor suppressor. This protein inhibits the transcriptional activity of MYC by competing for MAX, another basic helix-loop-helix protein that binds to MYC and is required for its function. Defects in this gene are frequently found in patients with prostate tumors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for the MXI1 gene. (from LocusLink and NCI) ( NCI )] (UMLS (NCI) C0212908) =Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein; Biologically Active Substance
5. MADELUNG'S DEFORMITY
(UMLS (ICD9CM) C0152441) =Congenital Abnormality
2. MAD Homolog 3
[Regulated by TGF-beta receptors, Mothers Against Decapentaplegic Homolog 3 is an effector of the TGF-beta response. MADH3 is associated with and phosphorylated by the ligand-bound receptor complex. MADH3 and MADH4 synergize to induce strong TGF-beta-like responses. SMAD3 and SMAD4 proteins specifically recognize an eight base pair palindromic DNA sequence that confers TGF-beta responsiveness to a minimal promoter. (from OMIM 603109 and NCI) ( NCI )] (UMLS (NCI) C0529119) =Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein; Biologically Active Substance
6. Madin Darby canine kidney cell
[cell line derived from the kidney of an apparently normal, adult, female cocker spaniel; used in numerous viral studies; susceptible to vesicular stomatitis, vaccinia, and Coxsackie viruses, and certain reoviruses and adenoviruses. ( CSP )] (UMLS (CSP) C0598829) =Cell ;

3. mad itch virus
[ ] (UMLS (CSP) C0599502) =Virus ;
7. MADM
[Expressed by human NRBP Gene, ubiquitous 535-aa 60-kDa Nuclear Receptor Binding Protein is a putative adaptor protein containing 2 putative nuclear receptor-binding motifs, a putative binding domain for SH2 domain-containing proteins, a kinase-like domain, a bipartite nuclear localization signal, and 3 PEST sequences. Mouse and rat NRBP homologs exhibit 91% and 89% identity with NRBP. (NCI) ( NCI )] (UMLS (NCI) C1144459) Multiple Domain Putative Nuclear Protein;

4. MADD
[This proto-oncogene is involved in the regulation of apoptosis and propagates cell death via signal transduction. ( NCI )] (UMLS (NCI) C1366909) MADD Gene;
MAP-Kinase Activating Death Domain Gene;
=Gene or Genome ;
8. Madurella
[A mitosporic fungal genus that causes MADUROMYCOSIS (mycetoma) in humans. Madurella grisea and M. mycetomatis are the etiological agents. ( MSH )] (UMLS (CSP) C0024448) =Fungus ;
