Monomeric SRP19 mediates binding of the monomeric 54-kDa subunit and binds directly to the SRP 7SLRNA helix 6 stem-loop structure. Mediating signal recognition, translational arrest, and ER targeting by docking protein interaction, the SRP complex consists of a 7SLRNA and SRP9, SRP14, SRP19, SRP54, SRP68, and SRP72 protein subunits.
