- [IL12A (p35) comprises one chain of the heterodimeric IL12. Interleukin-12 is a novel cytokine cloned from B-cell lines. It has a broad array of potent biologic activities, acting at picomolar and subpicomolar levels on both T and NK cells. It stimulates the production of interferon gamma from T-cells and natural killer cells and also induces differentiation of TH1 cells. Sequence comparisons showed that p35 is related in sequence to ligands of the cytokine receptor family, most closely to IL6 and GCSF.
